Emily Mathews

Lutheran North Macomb County All-Academic 2020

A 4.0+ student at Lutheran North, Emily Mathews earned a 1330 on the SAT. Her future plans include attending Purdue University West Lafayette and majoring in Engineering. She attended St. John Fraser for grade school and St. Peter Macomb is her home congregation.

Emily has participated in National Honor Society, EXAMPLE, Ski Club, and Strength Training while at Lutheran North. In addition to outstanding academic achievements at Lutheran North, Emily earned All-Catholic and All-State in soccer during her freshman year as a Mustang. After 9th-grade, Emily represented the United States as part of the U18 Women’s National Soccer Team and also achieved a soccer scholarship to Purdue University!

When asked Who influenced you the most in your academic career, Emily answered:

My younger siblings Joshua and Elizabeth Mathews have influenced my work ethic and academic career. I want to be an example for them so they can see what hard work and studying can get them as well.
