Senior Spotlight: Karli Monahan
A 4.0 student at Lutheran North, she earned a 1430 on the SAT. Future plans include attending Michigan State University to major in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology. Karli has been a part of HOSA on the executive board as secretary, Example, coaching basketball and volleyball, various church activities, National Honor Society and tutoring. Honors include Scholastic All-Catholic for track, All-County in discus, CHSL All-Scholastic team, All-League in shop put and discus, LHN Scholar Athlete, MSU Future Docs member, AP Scholar, WXYZ-TV Channel 7 “Brightest and Best”, the Macomb Daily Student of the Week, CHSL All-Academic for basketball and HOSA regional champion and state finalist. She said her mom and her grandpa have been the most influential in her academic career, “because they are both extremely smart and push me to reach my goals.” Also, her biology teacher, Mrs. Nicole Mandziara, “for encouraging me and sparking my love for science.”
