2nd Annual First Responder Faculty vs. Senior Basketball Game

The recent Faculty/Staff vs. Seniors Basketball Game on campus was a huge success, both in terms of fun and fundraising. The event raised over $1,300 for Walk for the Red, thanks to the generous donations from everyone involved.

During the event, the Girls Hockey State Champions were also recognized for their outstanding achievement.

The halftime show was a crowd favorite, featuring a thrilling wrestling match between senior All-State Wrestling Qualifier Garret Schihl and longtime LHN wrestling coach Paul Ferretti, a Lutheran East grad and Wrestling State Champion. After a hard-fought battle, Garret came out on top with a well-earned victory.

The crowd also gave a heartfelt tribute to first responder Jake Hoard, recognizing him for his dedicated service to the community.

The basketball game itself was a competitive one, with the faculty and staff emerging victorious with a score of 86-61, though the game was closely contested. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries to students or faculty during the event.

Thank you to junior Reagan Hunt for capturing the highlights of the evening with these amazing photos.

Overall, the event was a great success, bringing the campus community together for a fun and meaningful cause!
