When asked Who influenced you the most in your academic career, Kaitlyn answered:

My parents, Suzanne and John Weiss, have been the most influential people of my academic career. They have encouraged me to have strong faith in God and strive toward academic excellence from first grade to my senior year of high school. Their encouragement to try new activities, pursue my interests with passion and never give up, while keeping an attitude of gratitude, has guided me as I participated in challenging classes and extracurricular activities. They have taught me to ask questions, share, listen to new ideas and to be a lifelong learner.
