Class of 2022 Valedictorian & Salutatorian

It is our pleasure to introduce the Class of 2022 valedictorian, Delaney Beckett and salutatorian, Jonathan Urbin chosen for their excellence in the classroom. These students demonstrated outstanding achievement in the classroom during their four years at Lutheran North. We congratulate them on this honor, and pray God's blessings upon them and the entire Senior Class as they enter into the next exciting phase of their lives!

2022 Valedictorian: Delaney Beckett

Delaney is an active member at her church and grade school, St. Peter Macomb. She volunteers by live-streaming weekly services and helping with VBS and other church events. She also tutors students in various subjects throughout the school year and summer breaks. Delaney was involved in National Honor Society, Theatre and Volleyball. Delaney plans to attend Ferris State University Honors College with a major in Biochemistry.

Delaney’s Lutheran North experience was special because of the amazing connections with her teachers who have been role models for her and guided her. She has learned how to work hard, be disciplined, and still have fun.

2022 Salutatorian: Jonathan Urbin

Jonathan and his family attend St Peter Macomb Lutheran Church. Jonathan came to LHN from the Chippewa Valley School district having attended Shawnee Elementary and Seneca Middle School. Jonathan has served four years in Student Council, the position of Student Body President his senior year, and maintained membership within the National Honor Society. He earned his varsity letter in both choir and theatre, acting as a leading tenor within the choir for four years and a lead cast member in theatre for three years. He was also involved in the Bowling and E-Gaming Club. Jonathan enjoys assisting at Gleaner’s Food Bank as well as other local shelter opportunities. Jonathan has also supported the local Hoop-It-Up elementary basketball program. In the fall Jonathan plans on attending the Michigan State University Honors College to pursue a degree in film studies.

Jonathan’s Lutheran North experience was special because of the welcoming and supportive environment. From the staff to the students, the educational experience was as comfortable and helpful as possible. Jonathan has learned how to lead a good Christian life and maintain discipline, as well as an unbreakable will to never give up.
