Welcome, Tim Greve!

We're proud to announce that Tim Greve has joined the team at Lutheran High North filling the role of Theology teacher. Tim graduated from LHN in 2006 and then went on to Concordia University Wisconsin to study Social Studies Education. He is also pursuing his M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Liberty University. Tim has previously taught at Mt. Olive Lutheran in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Lutheran School Association in Decatur, IL, Charlotte Christian School in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Lutheran High School in Parker, Colorado.

Besides teaching, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, working out, watching sports, traveling, playing trivia, playing board and card games, and reading.

  1. What’s your role at Lutheran North?

    Theology Teacher

  2. Where are you from?

    Macomb, Mi

  3. When did you know that you wanted to be in the Lutheran high school environment and what led you to pursue that path?

    When I was in middle school I wanted to be a coach, and then when I was in high school I knew I wanted to teach. I had excellent teachers at Lutheran North that really prepared me for college as well as develop my knowledge about God and also my relationship with Jesus Christ which is what I hope to do with my students..

    LHN ALUM BONUS QUESTION - What was your favorite class at Lutheran North and why?

    Mr. Brandt always engaged students even though I did not like to read. His expository writing class made me become a better writer. Mr. Horvath's Applied Christianity class grounded me in my Christian faith and inspired me to become a theology teacher.

  4. What’s your favorite Bible verse?

    Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

  5. What are three words to best describe you?

    Diligent, Loyal, Resourceful

  6. What was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

    Detasseling corn in Nebraska.

  7. Do you have a hidden talent? What is it?

    I'm okay at impersonations or different voices.

  8. If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

    Healing.

  9. What’s your favorite food?

    Mexican & Seafood.

  10. What’s your least favorite food?

    Cauliflower.

  11. What’s your favorite place that you’ve traveled and why?

    The American southwest and Grand Canyon because it shows the majestic nature of God's creation.

  12. Where would you like to travel next and why?

    The Holy Land, Greece, and Italy to see the land of the Bible and I love history.

  13. What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

    I have climbed the Great Wall of China.

  14. What’s one hobby you’d like to get into?

    Cooking or woodworking.

  15. What’s your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for?

    Football - University of Michigan.

  16. Are you an early bird or a night owl?

    Night owl.

  17. Are you a dog person or a cat person (neither or both)?

    Dog.

  18. What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?

    My second son's baptism.

  19. What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

    Pray hard. Work hard. Rest hard.
