Welcome, Anne Phillips
We’re proud to announce that Anne Phillips has re-joined the Lutheran North team filling the role of Spanish and Math teacher. Anne graduated from Valparaiso University with Spanish and Math degrees in 1998 and earned a Masters in the Art of Language Learning in 2006. She began her teaching career at LHN in the fall of '98 as "Miss Hoft.” During her time at LHN, she met her husband, Scott (a '94 graduate of LHN) at St. Peter, Macomb who was a volunteer working with the youth group. In fact it was an LHN student (Jake Kasper) who introduced them. :) She left LHN in 2006 when she was pregnant to stay home with her children. In 2013 she returned to teach Spanish at Trinity Lutheran, Clinton Township. She was born in Michigan but as the daughter of a Navy Chaplain she had the opportunity to live in the Chicago area as well as San Diego, California. It was in San Diego where she discovered her love of the Spanish language and Mexican culture. Anne loves to travel and learn about the many cultures of the world. She also loves photography and capturing moments with a camera. Scott and Anne have three children, Thomas a sophomore at LHN, and twin daughters, Katie and Beth, 8th graders at TCT. Their family loves traveling, camping and outdoor adventures.
Please warmly welcome Anne as a Mustang and get to know her through our Staff Spotlight 20 Questions below!!
