We wish Godspeed to Miss Sarah Tovella, Lutheran North Family & Consumer Science Teacher, who is leaving us this summer to relocate to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Miss Tovella has taught at Lutheran North since 2018. We have been richly blessed by Miss Tovella’s’ ministry here at Lutheran North, and we are grateful for the gifts she has shared with us!
I sincerely enjoyed my time at Lutheran North with all my students and staff. This was not only a job for me but a second family. I thank all my students for working so incredibly hard to give us the opportunity to create elaborate and delicious food labs. I will forever miss watching the students at Lutheran North learn and grow. Love you all!

Chicago, Illinois
When did you know that you wanted to be in the Lutheran high school environment and what led you to pursue that path?
I knew 3 years ago and I've always heard great things about Lutheran Schools.
What’s your favorite Bible verse?
James 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
What are three words to best describe you?
Understanding, kind, compassionate
What was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Cleaning lady at a yoga studio... In exchange I received free weight lifting classes.
Do you have a hidden talent? What is it?
I can moonwalk.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
Teleport or fly.
What’s your favorite food?
Asian or Chinese
What’s your least favorite food?
Olives
What’s your favorite place that you’ve traveled and why?
Hawaii because the weather is perfect year around.
Where would you like to travel next and why?
Greece because of the food and beaches.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I used to be a junior lovabull. Dancer for the Bulls during the time Jordan and Pippen were playing.
What’s one hobby you’d like to get into?
I'd like to learn Italian.

Hockey, Chicago Blackhawks

Discovering my best friend being pregnant!
