National Athletic Trainer Month
March is “National Athletic Trainer Month” and the perfect opportunity to recognize our outstanding Athletic Trainer, Joe Cimino! Over the past 10 years, he has been an integral member of the Lutheran North athletic community. Joe not only helps our Mustangs prepare for practices and games, but he also helps them make a safe return to competition after an injury occurs. We are so thankful to have Joe as a part of our athletic department. Please enjoy a few words from Joe and take a moment to thank him next time you see him!
This is my 10th year with Lutheran High School North. I have served the physical therapy and athletic training community in various settings from large Division 1 universities, University of Missouri, to the Lutheran Middle School athletic community including boys and girls basketball and football, and most everything in between. Quite a diverse range over 31 years. Without a doubt, my experience here at Lutheran High School North has been my most rewarding and spiritual time in my career. The trust, respect, cooperation, attitude, interaction, and Faith I get to share with our athletes, coaches, school staff/administration, and parents have been unmatched by any setting I have been involved in. I have a strong passion for what I do. Serving on this campus feeds my passion by allowing me to practice my profession with such fine people. From assessing athletic injuries to helping establish programs/training to prevent injury, the Lutheran High School North community has been very positive and accepting of my role here on their campus.
I thank Our Savior, and the Lutheran High School North community, for the time I have been here. I hope to continue my mission as long as I can do so effectively and in His name.
