Grade School Art Night
Last night we had the pleasure of opening up our art room to the absolute sweetest group of K-2 graders during our Grade School Art Night event! The kids used their creativity to make Christmas cards for their family members and friends by using a fun form of print making.
Lutheran North art teacher, Mrs. Wilson, along with the help of several LHN art students, demonstrated to the kids how to make “stamps” by first carving drawings into foam with a pencil, and then rolling ink onto the foam stamps to press onto their construction paper cards. The kids did a wonderful job working through the process of this multi-step project and were very proud of their creations!
Thank you to all those who came out to our event, and to Mrs. Wilson (and students) for putting together this enjoyable evening!
(We will be hosting another Art Night in March for grades 3-5, so stay tuned for more information regarding that night in the weeks ahead.)
