My name is Sarah Tovella and I have been a teacher for 6 years now. I am originally from Chicago, Illinois and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. I graduated with a degree in Family and Consumer Science and Health Education. I paid my way through college by working at various locations of Kalamazoo’s most desired restaurants. Learning the restaurant industry significantly helped develop my knowledge for my future in the business of being a nutrition and foods teacher at Lutheran North. My goal for this year is for my students to become independent thinkers in the kitchen and be well prepared for the future.
